Strings feature a protective film called EMP – Enhanced Molecular Protection. 
This treatment helps prolong tonal life without sacrificing feel or sound. 
At one micron thin, it is up to one thousand times thinner than coated strings. 
In fact, EMP treated strings last as long or longer than other string brands on 
the market, but feel and sound like an uncoated set. 
This gives you exactly what you always wanted - killer Tone with an incredible 
lifespan. Let’s face it, changing strings is annoying, but throwing on a virtually 
dead set to begin with is much worse. Also, unlike coated strings, the EMP 
treatment works equally with both acoustic and electric strings.

Nexus Acoustic Coated Medium 12-54

The result of many requests from Rotosound players for a coated string.
The windings use the 92/8 phosphor bronze of our Jumbo King strings but with 
a clear polymer coating that allows for a more subtle tone, longer string life, 
subdued finger noise and highly resistant to perspiration from the players hands.
The unwound strings are made from a special ‘platinum’ plated piano wire.

Long lasting tone
Nexus strings are designed to resist moisture and build-up than can quickly cause 
strings to lose their attack and clarity. Bespoke pre-coated wire and platinum plated 
plain strings maintain their natural tone and feel allowing your guitar to feel freshly
