Markbass Strings are made in our factory in Abruzzo (Italy), using the best selected 
innovative materials and ultimate quality controls matched with the ancient tradition 
of master string makers.

The GOUCHÈ strings series has been developed in collaboration with our top-artist 
Andrew Gouchè, the legendary godfather of gospel bass players and Grammy Award winning 
producer. With his distinctive bass sound and over 30 years of experience, Andrew has
 made an indelible mark on the history of Gospel and R&B music, inspiring today’s 
generation of bassists. These strings series are made of selected high quality 
stainless steel wire wrapped over a hex high carbon content core with a special 
semi-exposed section at the bridge, so string rides low and tight in saddle, allowing 
for a very comfortable low-action and offering extra brilliance, super sustain and 
definition on the low strings.

This set is characterized by a different construction system than usual, which uses a special aerospace-grade 
multifilament instead of the common nylon multifilament. Varnished copper is used for the coating, which is 
hypoallergenic and less noisy under the fingers.

than natural copper. The higher the specific weight the better the acoustic performance
