Rotosound Bronze Bass 44 Acoustic Medium 40 - 100 Long Scale

Beyond the bronze age
Phosphor bronze is an alloy of copper and tin and has become the industry standard for acoustic guitar strings.
For music string wire, tin alloyed with copper adds an excellent all round sound with depth and warmth without
loss of clarity – not quite the zing or edginess of brass but with more of an accentuated middle."

A string for everyone
With so many musicians experimenting with unique gauges and drop tunings it is hardly surprising to know that Swing
Bass Custom Box Singles, first introduced in the ’60s, enjoy more popularity now than ever before.
With such a wide range starting from 0.025" to 0.140" in increments of 0.005" there will be a gauge to suit
everyone’s custom set."

Great British quality
Manufactured in the UK to precise tolerances and using only the finest materials, you can rely on Rotosound strings
for consistent tone and performance in every packet.
Every Swing Bass 66 string is manufactured on custom built machines designed and built in the UK by Jason How.

Iconic music strings
This innovation continues Rotosound’s proud legacy of cutting-edge string design that started with our roundwound
strings in the sixties.Developed in conjunction with some of the world's top artists, Rotosound strings are
synonymous with timeless tone, longevity and rock history. Started in 1958 by James How, an engineer who made strings
or his own instruments, Rotosound became known around the world for its superior quality products and famous endorsees
such as Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, and Queen to name just a few. The Who’s John Entwistle started a long partnership with
James and helped develop the Swing Bass roundwound strings which have become the industry standard.
Gathering the most prominent artists over the following decades from Jaco Pastorius to The Edge, Oasis to Guthrie
Govan, Rotosound has been the go-to string for every music generation."

Swing Bass 66 - Drop Zone Custom Gauge 65-130

Made for explorers of drop tuning, this is the thicker gauge version of the roundwound
string that James How and John Entwistle perfected into what was to become the industry standard.
The bright punchy high energy sound this string offers is a big part of early rock music
as we know it and brought the bass player from the back line to the front.
This set allows bass players to lower their tunings down to B (for tuning down to F# try our Drop
Zone Plus bass strings)

For the players
Inspired by the penetrating tone of legends such as John Entwistle and Chris Squire, players
worldwide have strung up their bass guitars with Swing Bass 66 strings.
The distinctive sound of our roundwound Swing Bass 66 strings have been used by the bass-world’s
biggest hitters such as Jaco Pastorius, Geddy Lee, Billy Sheehan, Noel Redding, Duff McKagan,
and John Paul Jones. The bright red silk ends are hard to miss!
