SHUBB C1b Stålstr brass

Steel String Guitar
fits most acoustics and electrics

Whenever you change something there will be those who prefer the original. In 2013 we
upgraded our C-series, nickel plated capos to include the deluxe roller design, but for those
who may prefer a retro version, we have kept the plain brass capo in its original design.
Our plain brass capos are uncoated, so they will darken with time. Many fans of brass prefer
this look, especially for use on vintage instruments, but if you want your brass capo to shine,
a metal polish and cloth will make it shine like gold.
Made in the USA in our shop in Missouri and assembled by our crew in California.

We are continuing to make the ORIGINAL Shubb capo available in plain brass.

Intonation
Any capo can casually advertise that it "doesn't put the guitar out of tune,
" but we really mean it, and we take it very seriously!
Of course, to even begin to address tuning issues, a capo must be totally adjustable.
This narrows the field a bit, but Shubb is not the only adjustable capo.
So what makes a Shubb so special?

When we developed our capo, our main job was to minimize or eliminate the need for retuning.
We accomplished this by designing

1. a unique material that acts just like your fingertip

2. a patented closing action that works exactly like your hand

3. a one-time adjustment that provides the ideal pressure every time.

What makes the Shubb capo so special?
For one thing, its ingenious design: its patented over-center locking action provides an unrivalled
combination of power, speed, accuracy and ease of use. One smooth flip of the lever locks it
securely in place, and removes it just as quickly.

And the Shubb capo is BY FAR the best at not creating tuning problems. Its soft, resilient rubber is
specially designed to work just like a fingertip, so it doesn't bend the strings over the frets.
Its closing action is just like your hand, so it doesn't pull the string off center. As a result, no
re-tuning is necessary!

Precisely machined and carefully hand assembled, a Shubb capo is manufactured without compromise.
Simply holding one in your hand conveys a sense of quality. Snapping it solidly onto a guitar neck
in about one second, and then playing without having to retune will confirm its reputation for excellence.
